This is advertised as a single Tech 3 Multi-function Pen with Chrome Accents. I received 6 items. The packaging was not a premium gift box, as advertised. It was very similar, if not identical to that of Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges. The length of the item is not comfortable for writing. It is 1.5" long instead of the advertised 5.23" long. Twisting one did not switch between pens and pencil, it made the top pop off and all the ink fall out. There was only black ink, no red ink or pencil lead. Removing the screw off cap did not reveal an eraser, it revealed more ink. Based on the size, shape, and contents of this item, I really think amazon should change their description of this item to Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges, model #8924.

I've had two Tech 3 pens, the first I lost unfortunately while I was out of town. Both have been Satin Black, and have a slightly (barely noticeable) textured feeling on an otherwise smooth barrel. I haven't had any slippage that some folks reported with the Chrome version.
The pen has a nice weight and feel to it. I like how it's slim unlike, say, the Bic 4-color pen. It feels pretty solid. Though some have reported bending or breaking their pens, I don't see how this could happen without really pushing it. It feels rugged. It looks very professional without being overly fancy like some of the high-end Cross pens. It's a great pen to have at the office so long as you don't lose it!
Finally, I had no problem finding refills for the black, red or pencil cartridges. They were right on Cross's website. I also found them at my local office supply store. A truly useful and stylish utilitarian pen, I highly recommend it.

I use each pen for different purposes,academic, personal, and work-related. Between two different professions I have to write a lot of reports. Most reports need to be written in black ink, and some blue ink only, others detail notes highlighted in red. The pencil works well when writing drafts and for accounting or changing inventory. I wont use any other pen.
